A late C.19th Japanese Meiji period Kodansu, or table cabinet, black lacquered surface with hand applied decoration and original brassed drawer pulls.

Used for storing small items or jewellery, this has nine exterior drawers, and three more behind the decorative central doors.

Showing some wear with small areas of laquer missing, and without its original hinged top surface, it’s still a beautiful decorative piece for storing small treasures!
